Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Footy Arcade website, including Football Tenable, Player Wordle and Guess the XI. It describes the current games service. The Ballers Club mobile app and main website have their own privacy policy.

Who is responsible?

The data controller is Apex Global Ventures Ltd, United Kingdom, trading as Ballers Club. For questions about this policy or your information, email info@ballersclubapp.co.uk.

Your game progress stays in your browser

You do not need an account to play. The games store your daily guesses, correct answers, missed answers and completion status in your browser’s local storage so you can return to an unfinished game. These records include the puzzle date and identifier. Please enter football answers only, rather than personal or sensitive information.

The games do not send your guesses or scores to Ballers Club, publish them on a leaderboard, or sync them between devices. They do not request access to your location, contacts, health information, microphone or camera.

Saved records remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. The daily puzzle change does not automatically delete older records. Anyone using the same browser profile on your device may be able to see saved progress.

Cookies and browser storage

The games do not use an analytics service. Optional advertising, when activated, may use cookies as described below. Local storage is used to remember the game you are playing, rather than to track you across websites. Blocking browser storage does not prevent play, but progress may be lost when you leave or reload.

You can remove game progress in your browser’s site-data settings, or use the button below. This removes saved attempts for all three games on this website in this browser; it does not delete data in the separate Ballers Club app.

Player photos

Player photos are supplied by Wikimedia. When a photo is needed, your browser may request an image and its attribution from Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons. These services receive connection information, such as your IP address, and the public footballer name being looked up. The games do not send them your saved scores or the text of arbitrary guesses. Photo metadata is cached in memory while the page is open.

Images link to their sources and licence details in the player photo credits below each game. If the service is unavailable or a suitable photo cannot be identified, the game displays an avatar. See the Wikimedia Privacy Policy.

Advertising and external links

The current Ballers Club promotion uses images served with this website and links to the main Ballers Club website. It does not use a third-party tracking pixel. When you run out of lives or guesses you can choose to watch an advert for one extra chance per game per day. Watching is optional, and declining only ends that game. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

Google AdSense has been configured for this website but paid advertising is not yet active in this version.

When enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process connection and device information, cookies or other identifiers, and information about ad impressions and clicks to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Personalised advertising may also depend on your choices and previous activity. The games do not send your typed guesses or scores as advertising parameters.

Where required, Google’s published consent message lets you choose whether to allow optional advertising technologies. You can revisit your choices using its privacy settings control. Refusing optional consent does not prevent gameplay. Google may process information outside the UK; see Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites for its processing, retention and transfer arrangements.

Information needed to deliver the website

When you visit a hosted website, your browser sends connection information such as an IP address, browser details and the requested page to its hosting service. This is needed to deliver the page and protect the service. The local version of these games has no analytics service, visitor database or application access-log feature. The hosting provider and any operational logging or retention will be specified here before a public hosted version launches.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use this to respond to your enquiry and resolve the issue. Our basis is our legitimate interest in providing support and operating the service; legal obligations may also require us to keep particular correspondence. We retain it for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, any follow-up or dispute, and applicable legal requirements. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Your rights and choices

Where UK data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information we hold, restrict its use, object to certain uses, or receive a portable copy. These rights depend on the circumstances. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.

Contact us using the email above to make a request. We cannot retrieve game records that exist only in your browser; you can remove those yourself using the controls above. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children’s privacy

In line with the published Ballers Club policy, this service is intended for users aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the games’ data practices change and show the revised date above. Any new optional use requiring consent will be presented separately before it begins.
